God Of War‘s Freya was an inspiration from the Norse mythology Frigg and Freyja. The universe of the game includes a god of great power that initially assists Kratos as his son Atreus falls ill with an unidentified illness. Despite showing compassion to the two, she ultimately turns on them after the Ghost of Sparta murders her son Baldur. Ragnaroksees Freya returning to the franchise albeit this time as an antagonist seeking revenge on Kratos, going to severe measures to bring justice.
